Squirrels
We are delighted to announce the launch of our Squirrel Scouts section here at 1st Shipley Scouts. As the youngest of the Scout group, children aged between four and six years old are invited to join us to take their first step into the Scouting family. We meet on Saturdays at the Scout Hut between 9am and 10am, term time only.
1st Shipley Squirrels, like every Scouting Group across the country, has been founded on the principles of creating a nurturing environment where children can gain important life skills, make friends, have fun and learn about the world around them!

Squirrels can accomplish anything they set their sights on — and they have a great time doing it.
Our one-hour sessions offer a fantastic introduction for young children to join the Scouting community, while also helping them get ready for the exciting journey into school life.
Being a Squirrel Scout is not just about making friends and having fun, but also taking part in activities together, getting outdoors, helping others, earning badges and learning to be safe. As well as all this, they can start to develop the basic scouting skills, which they can carry on with them as they move up to Beavers and beyond!
Squirrel Promise
I promise to do my best to be kind and helpful and to love our world.
